Resolution refers to the number of pixels horizontally and vertically on the screen. For example, a display with a resolution of 1920×1080 can show 1920 pixels horizontally and 1080 pixels vertically. Because the higher the resolution, the more details the screen can display, especially when viewed from a close distance.
Screen resolutions for LED screens, LCD screens, video sources, and other digital displays include 720P, HD, Full HD, 2K, 4K,8K. They differ in terms of the number of pixels and the resolution. Pixels, in general, the more dots there are, the clearer the video or picture will be on the digital display.
480P: With a resolution of 852×480 pixels, 480P is the start for displaying standard quality images and videos.
720P/HD: The relating pixels of HD and 720P is 1280×720 pixels, with 921,600 pixels. This solution is the lowest of the HD-capable resolutions, a good option when selecting a small pixel pitch LED display at a lower cost. It’s cost-effective and often used for advertising in public spaces or billboards.
1080P/Full HD: Full HD displays has a resolution of 1920×1080, 2,073,600 pixels in total. 1080p is currently the standard resolution for television, internet streaming services, video games, and smartphones etc.. They are suitable for standard high-definition display situations, such as high-end meeting rooms. 1080p is the most popular selection on small pixel pitch LED screens. This resolution is also favored for TV broadcasts and video production.
2K: 1440p is a display resolution of 2560×1440, with a total of 3,686,400 pixels. Mostly used in the field of computing and smartphones. It’s suitable for viewing high-definition images and videos and game display application areas.
4K: 4K is ultra HD; its pixel resolution is 3840×2160, with a total pixel of 8,294,400; it can perfectly display more details. It’s mainly used to internet video streaming, video projection, and commercial televisions.
8K has 7680×4320 pixels and a total resolution of 33,177,600 pixels. It’s the highest monitor resolution available presently. 8K is currently being integrated into TVs, computer monitors, and broadcast cameras. Few customers choose it because the price is too high.
The most common ones are 720P, 1080P, 2K and 4K.
The resolution determines the fineness of the video image details.
Smaller pixel pitch has smaller size in same resolutions. The dimensions of a video wall display depend on the number of panels or modules used and their individual size. Indoor pixel pitches are P1.25, P1.538, P1.86, P2, P2.5, P3, P3.91, P4, P4.81 and P5. Outdoor pixel pitches are P2.5, P3, P3.91, P4, P4.81, P5, P6, P6.67, P8 and P10.

You can see, high resolution means small pixel pitch or bigger size. High-resolution screens with smaller pixel pitches are higher cost. They are perfect for conferences, trade shows, and corporate events among other things.
Identify the type of event, audience size, and viewing distance. This helps in selecting the appropriate pixel pitch and screen type.
Besides the large size customized LED display with high resolution as above, there are still many demands for small space application, such as small retail store, restaurant, shop, food truck, coffee shop etc.
If you have a limited budget, not for a grand event, considering to a smaller size LED screen is necessary.
For small retail stores below 20 square meters, it is necessary to ensure that the selected display screen is of moderate size, which does not take up too much space and can effectively attract customer’s attention.
